Steve is a chartered accountant, having qualified with EY where he focused on providing corporate finance advice to technology businesses in the UK and internationally. Steve has over 20 years of experience as Chief Financial Officer of a number of businesses across technology, business services and healthcare.
Between 2010 and 2016, Steve was CFO of Tribal Group PLC, a leading international provider of business systems to the education market. Alongside his work at Elucid, Steve is a non-executive director of Alfa Financial Software Holdings PLC, a FTSE-listed market leading provider of software to asset finance companies.

James is a chartered accountant, having qualified with PwC. Subsequently James has spent the last 20 years specialising in M&A. Focusing on entrepreneurs based in the UK and Western Europe James has concluded around 200 transactions across a number of sectors such as financial services, professional services and healthcare.
Previously James was a Partner at Clearwater International and led BDO LLP's Financial Services M&A team.
Peter Hodson

Peter has been a private equity investor for over 20 years. Having done an Engineering degree he spent 5 years at BMW Group performing roles in Production, Design and IT implementation projects.
Subsequently he moved into private equity, initially he was at 3i for 5 years before spending 18 years at NVM Private Equity. At NVM he became part of the senior team steering the business through their own MBO and LP fund raise and circa 60 investments into SME companies. During this time Peter has sat on many boards building successful businesses before selling on to both PE and trade.

Dan is a chartered accountant, having qualified at BDO before moving across to the Corporate Finance team where he focussed on providing M&A advice to SMEs across a range of industries. Dan subsequently spent a further 5 years in corporate finance advisory roles at Clearwater International and Duff & Phelps where he continued to focus on the SME market, both in the UK and Internationally.
Dan joined Aston Lark, a leading UK insurance broker, following Goldman Sachs' investment in 2019 and was a key part of the M&A and finance team which executed a buy-and-build strategy encompassing 50+ transactions in the 3 years prior to Aston Lark's sale to Howden in 2022.

Chris is an M&A specialist with over 20 years' experience. Chris began his M&A career with BDO LLP working across the north with entrepreneurs, owner managers and family owned businesses.
Chris subsequently joined Seneca Partners to establish an M&A business operating across the UK.
Chris has been involved in over 150 transactions during his time in M&A covering most sectors, although with particular experience across civil engineering, construction services and industrials.

Paul is a chartered accountant, having qualified with Deloitte where he focused on providing M&A corporate finance advice to leisure sector businesses in the UK and internationally.
Paul has over 20 years' combined experience of providing strategic financial and M&A advice including a number of industry-facing Chief Financial Officer and Chief Executive Officer roles. Paul was CEO and CFO of Teaching Art Group, a Private Equity backed art membership and online retailer for five years to 2022.
Paul has also held the roles of CFO at Inivos Group, a healthcare services specialist, and was seconded as a Director into the Strategy and Commercial Finance team at Sainsbury's PLC to divest of their pharmacy division.

Richard was Group Financial Controller and Regional Finance Director of Tribal Group plc, an LSE listed leading international provider of business software to the Education sector. He was then part of an MBO team at Excalibur Communications, which grew organically and through bolt-on acquisitions over a 6 year period before being sold to LDC-backed Onecomm in 2024.

Sam is an M&A specialist with over 25 years' experience. Sam spent 8 years in venture capital backed technology companies before joining BDO LLP in Leeds to focus on M&A, working across the UK and Europe as he built up a sector specialism in Transport, Logistics and Supply Chain.
Since leaving practice, Sam has worked as Corporate Development Director and Chief Financial Officer of private equity backed businesses before returning to a more M&A focused role with Elucid.

As Group Financial Controller at Pennon Group, Will led the financial workstreams for Pennon Group’s £4billion sale of Viridor. As CFO at Premier Veterinary Group he developed and professionalised the finance function to support the growth of the business across the UK and internationally and delivered the sale of other businesses to fund this expansion.

John is a chartered accountant, qualifying with Ernst & Young where he was one of the founder members of its business modelling group, providing modelling assurance and development solutions to businesses across a broad spectrum of industries. He subsequently joined Deloitte & Touche as part of the founding team that established business modelling services as one of Deloitte's core offerings.
Since leaving Deloitte, John has been providing modelling solutions to a range of businesses from those just starting up – and in need of projections to support early financial support – to those requiring detailed working capital models to support an IPO. Alongside model development services, John has also been developing and facilitating financial modelling courses for Deloitte.
